Every August long weekend this town in Eastern Ontario has its children build innertube (tubie) rafts to race down the St. Lawrence River. The winners are given cash prizes to cover the cost of their raft materials & bragging rights. Each raft must have a float in a community parade based on a theme, usually built around a tubie pun, like 'tubie or not tubie. The community watches the race, the parade & enjoy entertainment & music all weekend long. It is a unique & fun experience.
